Connect your Netgear WI-FI range extender to your computer or laptop with an Ethernet cable.Ensure that the power LED light is ON which is present on the LED panel of the extender and is green in color.Open a web browser on your computer or laptop.Type www.mywifiext.net or the default IP address i.e. 192.168.1.250 into your web browser and press Enter.Click on the new extender set up and create a login account to access the configuration panel.Once you create an account, click on Next and you will be greeted with the following message:Welcome to NETGEAR Genie! How would you like to use your extender?Click on WiFi range extender, select your WiFi network and click Next.Enter the same password (network key) for your existing WiFi network.Enter a network name and update security settings for your extended WiFi network (s).Confirm the settings. The new extender set up will take approximately two minutes for the extender to make a successful connection with the preferred or the selected network.The device will restart and setup will now be completed
