Insolvency Statistics for England & Wales in December 2023

Overall, December 2023’s insolvency statistics for England & Wales, while higher than a year ago, are at last in single figures, at 2%. The figures are:

1,731 Creditors Voluntary Liquidations (CVLs)
153 compulsory liquidations
103 administrations
15 Company Voluntary Arrangements (CVAs)
0 receivership appointment

It’s good news in Scotland though, as their December 2023 figures continue to drop at 5% lower than December 2022, with 65 CVLs, 40 compulsory liquidations, and 3 administrations.
