The SAV 1911 Government 9MM 10R SS is a 1911-style semi-automatic pistol chambered for the 9mm cartridge. Its model designation identifies a Government-pattern configuration, while “10R” indicates a 10-round magazine capacity and “SS” refers to the stainless-steel configuration or finish. The design follows the established 1911 platform, which is recognized for its traditional frame, slide, barrel, and grip arrangement. The 9mm chambering identifies the ammunition type for which the firearm is designed. The Government designation generally refers to the full-size 1911 format, providing a familiar configuration within the 1911 family.
