A hedgehog is a small, spiky animal that curls up into a ball when it feels threatened. In the wild, the adults hunt for minute insects and grubs in leaf litter, and the young, like other mammals, are fed milk during the first few weeks of life. Hedgehogs as early as a day or so old can be raised by hand, but temperature, hygiene, and nutrition must be closely monitored. Know more about baby hedgehog care at Hedgy Life!
