Mini-band walk is a warm up exercise that works the muscles outside of your hips.  It also improves hip stability and strengthens the knee joint.  For this exercise to be effective, perform it with a mini-band around your knees. Use of a exercise band activates the hips and warms up the lower body for more intense leg exercises such as squats and lunges.
