$ 25 Voted #1 Las Vegas Wedding Chapel 5 years in a row, Viva Las Vegas Wedding Chapel is staffed by an eclectic and sometimes eccentric staff, which makes seeing them try to cope with 40 weddings in one day all the more enjoyable. We share one day in the life of this chapel with the staff as 40 couples head down the aisle. They are married in the main Chapel, the outdoor gazebo or the little chapel, which has been fashioned from two of Viva's hotel rooms. At the back of the main chapel building is Viva Las Vegas Villas which is their hotel specializing in themed rooms, like the Elvis & Priscilla suite, the gangster room, the Star Trek room etc. Managing the hotel is Chad and we follow him through trials and turmoil as he tries to keep up the brave facade that "everything is fine" when all about him is falling to pieces. His "sparring partner" is feisty Filipino photographer Millie who has to scurry between chapels covering still and video photography of the weddings as well as trying to run the photo lab. Ron, the chapel owner, assumes the "guises" of Elvis, Austin Powers, James Bond, The Godfather, Clint Eastwood and Merlin as he conducts ceremony after ceremony whilst trying to keep the wheels on this roller-coaster of a day. Mishaps that torment Ron include a $5000 fog machine that they cannot get to work right, incessant plumbing problems and a limousine that bursts a radiator hose, spilling out radiator fluid all over the entrance to reception. Whether they are consoling a late bride who missed her scheduled wedding time twice, or indulging couples in helping create their fantasy weddings like the Star Wars Costuming Group wedding, the staff at Viva Las Vegas wedding chapel manage to concoct a mixture of drama and humour with the guests' tears of frustration and joy.
