Jack Dillon was looking forward to retiring from his long and eventful career as a private detective and living out the rest of his days in an idyllic setting, enjoying and producing fine wines with his lovely gal pal, Jenny, by his side. While in France investigating a case involving the fraudulent sale of rare wines, he unexpectedly falls into an opportunity to make his dream come true. Finally, he would be the proud owner of his own vineyard in the beautiful Willamette Valley of Oregon. However, when the current owner of the winery is gruesomely and inexplicably murdered, Jack finds himself reluctantly drawn into the case. Soon he discovers a convoluted set of circumstances-first an adulterous affair and then stolen plans for a secret product design-that provide multiple motives and a daunting challenge. even for a seasoned private detective like himself.
