The Ruaha National Park
The Ruaha National Park is found in the central part of Tanzania. The name ”Ruvaha,” meaning ‘river,’ originates from the Hehe tribe and the park was originally a game reserve but then changed to a national park in 1964. Ruaha National Park combines the Rungwa, Kizigo, Usangu and the Muhesi ecosystems (among others), making it the largest national park in Tanzania and East Africa.
