Dr. Oz Delivers Fundraising Speech in Front of Hitler’s Limo
Whether you are looking for limo hire in London or chauffeur cars in the US, knowing that your vehicle has been used by a celebrity or high-profile individual is desirable. However, if a car is previously owned by Hitler, it is likely that people would not want to be seen dead in it!
At a fundraiser this week, Pennsylvania Republican Senate candidate, Dr. Mehmet Oz, spoke in front of an limo that formerly belonged to Nazi leader Adolf Hitler. This understandably led his Democratic opponent, John Fetterman, to challenge his eligibility for office.
Oz spoke at the Lyon Air Museum in Santa Ana, California, as part of a $5,000-per-ticket fundraiser organised by Palmer Luckey, the founder of Oculus VR.
The museum website states that the blue limo was "delivered" to Hitler in 1939 and was "used by the Fuhrer in Ober Salzberg, Berlin, and Poland until seized by the French Army at Berchtesgaden."
The car typically has a red swastika plaque attached to the front. This can be seen on images featured on the Museum's website. However, pictures posted on social media of the fundraiser didn’t show the Nazi emblem whatsoever.
It is unconfirmed whether or not the museum took the plaque down for the speech. The museum was contacted by the press for comment on the matter, but no reply was received.
What are your thoughts? Should people call into question whether or not Dr Oz is a capable candidate as a result of his distasteful prop?
