UK rents rise at a record pace as house price growth slows down

Property tenants in London face the biggest increases, while the capital is the only region to register a drop in property value. According to the National Statistics, prices paid by tenants rose by 5.3% in the last 12 months to July, the largest annual percentage change since the series began in January 2016.
