Pietersite Ring - The Unique Crystal

Pietersite is a unique crystal that comes from Windhoek, Namibia. Pietersite is recognizable through its consistencies and abundance of hues. It is also known as the "Tempest" because of its similarity to a wild desert storm. The designs of colors gold, blue, brown, and black show the beautiful transformation within the stone. This stone was discovered by Sid Pieters in 1962. Pietersite is a rare and stunning stone mostly found in Namibia and China. It is a member of the quartz family and silicified Riebeckite with traces of Limonite. Pietersite comes in the category of Chalcedony stone and is a microcrystalline quartz found in masses of jasper.
