Established just before the end of World War Two to serve the agricultural sector, the firm has sadly entered administration, leading to the loss of over 100 jobs.Managed by cousins Jamie and John Cartwright for over 30 years, Cartwright Bros faced mounting challenges, including rising costs and the profound impact of the pandemic. The conflict in Ukraine further strained their operations, causing spikes in fuel costs and delays in obtaining essential vehicle parts at inflated prices. Brexit-related shortages of lorry drivers added to their challenges.Despite their best efforts to turn the business around, the decision to enter administration became inevitable.
