Important Update: Canada Permanent Residence Fees Increasing April 30, 2026
Planning to apply for permanent residence in Canada? A fee adjustment is coming into effect later this month.
IRCC has announced that permanent residence application fees will increase on April 30, 2026 to keep pace with inflation and support timely program delivery.
Key fee changes (principal applicant):
• Right of Permanent Residence Fee: +$25 → $600
• Provincial Nominee Program (PNP): +$40 → $990
• Business programs: +$85 → $1,895
• Family Class: +$25 → $570
• Protected persons / H&C: +$25 → $660
Applications received on or after April 30, 2026 will be subject to the new rates.
