The paper industry in India is an important part of the country’s manufacturing and packaging ecosystem. With growing demand from packaging, e-commerce, FMCG, food processing, education and other sectors, the industry continues to expand and modernise. India has more than 850 paper mills and produces around 25 million tonnes of paper annually, while capacity utilisation remains high.
