Southwell Diesel Services was born in 1979 in Wingfield, South Australia. After working for Cummins for several years in both South Australia and then Queensland, Peter Southwell decided it was time to commence his own business. With a young family to provide for, and a vision to provide quality repairs to Cummins engines at reasonable prices, the Southwell Diesel story began. Peter quickly built a solid customer base and by 1984 Southwell Diesel Services had outgrown its workshop space in Wingfield. Peter purchased 5 Grainger Road, Elizabeth South, which continues to be the home of Southwell Diesel Services today.
