Credit Memos In QuickBooks

A formal method of giving a customer credit is credit memos in QuickBooks. This may apply to things that are returned, reductions given after an invoice is sent, or other circumstances where you owe your customer money. With QuickBooks, creating a credit memo is simple and allows you to identify the customer and the reason for the credit. To lower the amount the customer owes, you can also apply the credit memo to an already-existing invoice. This maintains your customer accounts balanced and assists you in keeping correct records.
